TX140 S1 Upgrade and Maintenance Manual 123
6 Power supply
In its basic configuration, the server has a standard power supply unit (PSU) or
one power supply module (PSU module) that adjusts automatically to any mains
voltage in the range of 100 VAC to 240 VAC. Besides the power supply module,
a second PSU module can be installed optionally to serve as a redundant power
supply. If one PSU module fails, the second PSU module in the redundant
configuration ensures operation can continue uninterrupted.
V CAUTION!
The server supports a mains voltage in the range of 100 VAC to
240 VAC. You may only operate the server if its rated voltage range
corresponds to the local mains voltage.
Safety notes
V CAUTION!
● Do not disassemble the power supply unit. Doing so may cause
electric shock.
● Areas around the power supply unit may remain extremely hot after
shutdown. After shutting down the server, wait for hot components to
cool down before removing the power supply unit.
● The power supply unit is heavy, so handle it carefully. If you drop it by
mistake, injuries may result.
● For further safety information, please refer to chapter "Important
information" on page 41.
