2. Checking the machine after
starting the engine
After
starting the engine, but before starting operation
of the machine, check the machine conditions.
1. Idle the engine. (warm up)
The engine idle allows the engine lubricant to warm
up and penetrate every part of the engine.
2. Once the engine has warmed up, check the
following items.
• The engine-oil-pressure-indicator has gone out.
• The battery-charge-warning-indicator goes out
when engine speed is increased.
• The color of the exhaust is normal.
• You do not hear abnormal noises and do not
feel vibrations.
• No fluid is leaking from pipes or hoses.
3. If any following conditions occur, stop the engine
immediately.
• The engine rpm increases or decreases
suddenly.
• You hear abnormal noises suddenly.
• Exhaust is black.
• The engine-oil-pressure-indicator lights up
during operation of the machine.
IMPORTANT :
• If any preceding conditions occur, check the
machine and consult your local KUBOTA
dealer for service of the machine.
3. Adjusting the engine speed
The operator can adjust the engine speed with the
engine speed control dial and the accelerator pedal.

The engine speed control dial sets the lower limit of
engine speed. Turn the engine speed control dial
clockwise to increase the lower limit of engine speed,
and counterclockwise to decrease the lower limit of
engine speed.

The accelerator pedal adjusts the engine speed
between
the lower and upper limits depending on the
amount of pressure applied to the accelerator pedal.

WARNING
T
o avoid personal injury or death:
• Make sure that the armrests are in the raised
position during warm-up.
Start the engine in the following manner.
1. Press
the start switch to change the mode from the
“OFF” mode to “ACCESSORY” mode and keep it
until the glow-plug-indicator has gone out.
