REMOVING THE VALVES
The following procedure applies to all valves and
related components.
NOTE:
Before removing the internal parts of the head
(eg, valves, valve springs, valve seats), make
sure the valves seal well.
1.
Check:
Sealing of valves
Leaking valve seat
Verify יו
the face of the valve, valve seats, and the
width of the valve seat.
Refer to "CHECKING THE VALVE SEATS" on
page
5-17.
a. Pour a clean solvent "a" in the input and output
ports
b. Check valve seal
NOTE:
There is no leakage in the valve seat "1".
2. Remove:
Pines valve "1".
NOTE:
Remove the valve pin compressing the valve
spring with the spring compressor and the valve
spring compressor adapter valve "2"

NOTE:
Identify the position of each part very carefully
so that it can be reinstalled in its original place.
INSPECTION valves and valve guides
The following procedure applies to all valves and
valve guides.
1.
Measure:
Clearance between the valve stem and
valve guide
OOS
Replace יו
the butt
Clearance between the valve stem and valve
guide = Inner diameter of the valve guide "a" -
diameter of the valve stem "b"
Clearance between the valve
stem and the valve guide
(Admission)
0010-0037 mm
Limit
0080 mm
Clearance between the valve
stem and the valve guide
(Escape)
0025-0052 mm
Limit
0.100 mm

3.
Remove:
Upper spring seat of the valve "1"
Valve spring "2"
Valve "3"
Seal valve stem "4"
Lower spring seat valve "5"
Clearance valve and valve guide = a-b
