VERIFICATION plug cap

1.Check:
• plug cap resistance
OOS
Replace יו.

Resistance of the plug cap
5.0 kU at 20 ° C (68 ° F)


a. Remove the spark plug cap from the spark
plug wire.
b. Connect the multimeter (Ù × 1k) to the spark
plug cap as shown.

Multimeter

c. Measure the resistance of the spark plug cap.


CHECKING THE IGNITION COIL
1.Check:
• Primary coil resistance
OOS
Replace יו.

Primary coil resistance
Ù 0.32 to 0.48 at 20 ° C (68 ° F)

a. Disconnect connectors of the ignition coil, the
terminals of the ignition coil.
b. Connect the multimeter (Ù × 1) to the ignition
coil, as shown.

Multimeter


• Positive tester probe יו
orange "1"
• Negative tester probe יו
land "2"

c.
Measure the secondary coil resistance.

2.Check:
• secondary coil resistance
OOS
Replace יו.


Secondary coil resistance
KU 5.68-8.52 at 20 ° C (68 ° F)


a. Disconnect the spark plug cap from the
ignition coil.
b. Connect the multimeter (Ù × 1k) to the ignition
coil, as shown.


