RTER
CRANKCASE SEPARATION
1.
Remove:
•
Crankcase Bolts
NOTE:
Loosen each screw 1/4 turn at a time in stages and
in the correct sequence as shown.
CAUTION
Tap on one side of the pan with a soft-faced
hammer. Tap reinforced only on portions of the
crankcase, not the contacting surfaces of the
crankcase. Work slowly and carefully and make
sure the pan is separated into halves evenly.

CASING INSPECTION
1. Thoroughly wash the crankcase halves in a
mild solvent.
2. Clean all contact surfaces of the seals and
crankcase.
3.
Check:
•
Sump
Cracks / damage
Replace יו.
•Cheap oil distribution
Obstruction
Blow יו
with compressed air.
INSPECTION OF THE TIMING CHAIN AND CHAIN
GUIDE DISTRIBUTION
1. Check:
• The distribution chain
Damage / stiffness
Replace יו
chain
distribution and the camshaft sprocket
A. Housing right
as a whole.
B. Left housing
2.
Spin:
•Changes drum segment
NOTE:
Rotate the drum segment changes "1" to the
position shown in the illustration. In this position,
the teeth of the drum segment changes touch with
the crankcase sump during separation.
3. Remove:
• Housing Right
2.
Check:
•Guide chain
(Intake side)
Damage / wear
Replace יו.
INSPECTION OIL STRAINER
1.
Check:
•Oil Strainer
Damage
Replace יו.
Pollutants
Clean יו
solvent.
INSPECTION OF BEARINGS AND OIL
SEALS
1.
Check:
•
Bearings
Clean and lubricate the bearings, then rotate the
inner race with a finger
