CHECKING THE REAR WHEEL SPROCKET
1. Check:
• Rear wheel sprocket
Refer to “CHAIN DRIVE” on page 4-63.

1. Check:
• Brake disc
Refer to “CHECKING THE REAR BRAKE
DISC” on page 4-34.

INSTALLING THE REAR WHEEL SPROCKET
1. Install:
• Rear wheel sprocket
T
IP
Make sure that the blunt-edged corner “a” of the
rear wheel sprocket is facing outward.

INSTALLING THE REAR AXLE
1. Install:
• Conical spring washer “1”
• Rear axle ring nut
T
IP
Install the conical spring washer with the convex
side of the washer facing outward as shown.
2. Install:
• Rear wheels
Refer to “REAR WHEELS” on page 4-9.
3. Tighten:
• Rear axle ring nut “1”
• Rear axle ring nut set bolts “2”
T
IP
• Apply the brake pedal so that the rear axle
does not turn when tightening the nut.
• Use the axle nut wrench “3”.

7 Nm (0.7 m·kg, 5.1 ft·lb)
