If the specified clutch cable free play cannot be
obtained on the handlebar side of the cable, use
the adjusting nut on the engine side.

Engine side
a. Loosen the locknut “4”.
b. Turn the adjusting bolt “5” until the specified
clutch cable free play is obtained.
c. Tighten the locknut.

CLEANING THE AIR FILTER ELEMENT

On the bottom of the air filter case is a check
hose “1”. If dust or water or both collects in this
hose, clean the air filter element and air filter
case.
1. Remove:
• Seat
Refer to “GENERAL CHASSIS” on page 4-1.
2. Remove:
• Air filter case cover “1”
3. Remove:
• Wing bolt “1”
• Air filter element “2”
• Air filter element frame “3”
4. Clean:
• Air filter element
(with solvent)
