6.1.8.2 Web connections
Connection Security
Web connection was requested several times to be able to:
• To use CSNET WEB without installing the software
• To connect from a smartphone
PC software must be running as the server job is done by the software.
The web server is the door to the Hitachi installation so it has been prepared to keep that door completely safe.
Level Explanation
1 User Password
The connection done by the user requires a password.
The password is stored on the server from the user list dialog, so it is never sent by
the client and this means that it cannot be copied.
The connection done by the user is also protected.
2 Units allowed
Any user will have a list of allowed / banned units to manage. This means that if
one user loses its password, the accessible units will be only the ones that appear
on the list.
3 Server activation
To be able to connect to the server it is strictly necessary to have the server option
activated.
The option is not activated by default and all the software that does not use the new
function, will be completely unreachable from outside.
In case of suspicious behaviour, the option can be deactivated and the system will
become again closed to external connections.
