Install the upper fork pinch bolt.
Tighten the upper/lower fork pinch bolts to the spec-
ified torque.
If the fork is disassembled, tighten the fork cap bolt
to the specified torque.
Install the brake caliper mounting bolt (page 17-23).
Set the brake hose holder and tighten the bolt.
Install the following:
– Front cover (page 3-6)
– Front fender (page 3-4)
– Front wheel (page 15-11)

REMOVAL
BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER
Remove the following:
– Front center cover (page 3-4)
– Front handlebar cover (page 3-6)
– Rear handlebar cover (page 3-7)
Remove the bolts, holder and brake master cylinder.
THROTTLE HOUSING
Remove the screw and upper throttle housing by
releasing its slot from the tab on the lower housing.
Disconnect the throttle cable from the throttle pipe
and remove the lower throttle housing.
Remove the throttle pipe from the handlebar.
TORQUE: 49 N·m (5.0 kgf·m, 36 lbf·ft)
TORQUE: 23 N·m (2.3 kgf·m, 17 lbf·ft)

Keep the brake
master cylinder
upright to prevent
air from entering
the system.
Do not twist the
brake hose.
