5-8. Replacing the Stopper Cylinder
(1) Detach the hexagon nut .
(2) Detach the cylinder fixing screws .
(3) Turn the shaft of the cylinder to remove the cylinder from the stopper connector .
(4) When installing a new stopper cylinder, reassemble the components in the order of steps (3) to
(1).
Make sure that the cylinder is aligned along the slot on the stopper frame and moves
smoothly.
Also make sure that the distance from the end of the cylinder to the end of the stopper
connector is as shown in the figure below.
(5) Adjust the opening of the speed controller.
Open the speed controller on the A side (i.e. that attached to the cylinder) one turn from
the fully closed position.
Open the speed controller on the B side two and a half turns from the fully closed position.
(6) After the components have been reassembled, supply air (0.49 MPa) to check that the stopper
cylinder moves smoothly.
