Configuring SNMP
The Simple Network Management Protocol configuration includes properties and
trap parameters plus SNMP v3 manager and user parameters.
SNMP Configuration and Trap Configuration Parameters
SNMP configuration defines how authentication traps are managed. SNMP trap
configuration defines how traps are set. Choose from the tabs Trap1–Trap 5 to
configure each trap.
To configure SNMP for switch or a stack:
1. Select a switch or a stack in the fabric tree.
2. On the Switch menu, click SNMP and click SNMP Properties to view the
SNMP Properties dialog box (Figure 5-26). For a stack, on the Stack menu,
click SNMP Properties.
3. If you selected a stack, choose a switch from the Initial Configuration
drop-down list. Changes that you make to this switch are distributed to the
other switches in the stack.
4. Enter information for the SNMP configuration and SNMP trap configuration
areas described in Table 5-13.
5. Click OK to save and activate the changes.
