Restoring a Switch

1. Select a switch in the fabric tree.
2. On the Switch menu, click Archive.
3. In the Save dialog box, enter a file name.
4. Click Save.
Restoring a Switch
Restoring a switch loads the archived switch configuration parameters to the
switch. The administrative state of the switch must be set to Offline using the
Switch Properties dialog box before an archive can be used in the restore
process. The switch type archive must be compatible with the switch to be
restored. For more information, see “Archiving a Switch” on page 5-75.

To restore a switch:
CAUTION!
The switch being restored should be physically disconnected from the fabric.
Restoring a switch in a fabric can severely disrupt the fabric. After the
restore process is complete, the switch can be reconnected to the fabric.
