(6) Is maintenance operation (suction, exhaust) normal?

At this time, proceed with the flowchart on the premise that the suction normally operates (yes).
(1) With reference to "3-1-3. How to display Advanced menu", select the Advanced mode.

From the Advanced menu, select [Cap pump check], and press the
. The carriage moves from the
maintenance unit.
(3) Fill the exhaust cap with the suction cap or exhaust cap desired to be checked.
(4)
Select the cap desired to be check and press
. Then, the suction will begin.
ï‚· If the suction is enabled -> Most of the liquid within the cap is consumed.
=> "(7) After replacing the suction cap, is such failure cleared?"
ï‚· If the suction is disabled -> Most of the liquid within the cap is not consumed.
* There may be such problem in the maintenance unit that the waste tube or cap tube are removed.
Check the following matters again. (Prior confirmation items)
・Isn't the waste tube broken?
・Isn't the tip of the waste ink tube touching the waste tank bottom?
=> If the suction cannot be done even when the confirmation above is performed, replace the
maintenance unit.
(5) Press the Cancel button to close the menu.
The carriage moves onto the maintenance unit and gets to be capped.
