Carriage, Sensor, and Switch
1. Carriage circuit board (SB4790)
This circuit board is located on the top of the carriage unit. It serves to relay the ink ejection signal of the print head.
2. Encoder circuit board (SB4793)
This circuit board is located in the front of the carriage unit.
It serves to detect the position of the carriage from the encoder strip.
3. Cover open switch (SB4819)
This switch is located on the right inside the main unit.
Opening the cover forcedly turns off the power. (The standby power cannot be turned off.)
4. Carriage motor (SB5325)
This motor is located on the right inside the main unit. This motor serves to activate the carriage.
5. Light-emitting section of obstacle detection sensor (SB5986)
6. Light-receiving section of obstacle detection sensor (SB5986)
These are located on the right and left sides of the platen opening section of the main unit. They serve to detect
obstacles on the platen.
7. Platen origin sensor (LG2239)
This is located inside the platen driving section.
This sensor serves to detect the platen origin.
8. Print switch (SB2400)
This is located in the operation panel.
This is a switch to start printing.
This switch blinks during reception of print data.
This illuminates when such reception is completed.
9. Power switch (SB5958)
This is located at the bottom of the front of the operation panel.
This is a switch to turn on or off the power. (The standby power cannot be turned off.)
