To set the serial console absolute session timeout, use the set con-absolute-session-timeout command.
set con-absolute-session-timeout seconds
Syntax Description
Serial console absolute session timeout; value can be 0 to 3600 seconds. To
disable this timeout, set the value to 0.

Usage Guidelines
You can separately configure the absolute session timeout for serial console sessions. This means you can
disable the serial console absolute session timeout for debugging while maintaining the absolute timeout for
other forms of access.
Example
This example shows how to enter default authentication mode and then set the serial console absolute
timeout to four minutes:
FP9300-A# scope security
FP9300-A /security # scope default-auth
FP9300-A /security/default-auth # set con-absolute-session-timeout 240
FP9300-A /security/default-auth* # commit-buffer
