CRANKCASEITRANSMISSION/CRANKSHAFT/BALANCER
CRANKCASE ASSEMBLY
Clean the front and rear crankcase mallng suriaces I.
thoroughly, being careful not to damage them , __
Blow through the oil passages in the crankcases with ~ ~ ~ ": . ~ . c '< ~>:::::~,
compressed air. h ' c, :j.
Apply liquid sealant (TB1215 or equivalent) to the /J
mating surface (shadowed area) of the front crankcase ....-I. '\.
as shown . , 1
Install the thcee dowel pin, 11 1 to the ceac ccankc",e. I
Make sure all the parts are installed in the rear
crankcase.
Install the fronl crankcase over the rear crankcase .
Install the fifteen rear crankcase bolts [1)
InslaUthe two front crankcase bolls [1}
Tighten aU the bolts in a crisscross pattern In several
steps.
