PINION NEEDLE BEARING
Rotate the stopper ring [tl until its end appears in the

access hole [2].
Strike gently near the end of the ring with a punch to
bend the
end
upward.
Grasp
the
end
of
the ring with
needle-nose
pliers
and
pull
the
stopper
ring

the

Remove the oil filler cap.
Heat the gear case
to
about
eo·e
(176"F) and remove
the needle bearing

, using the speciallools.
