12.1.12 Inspecting the geared motor
Perform a scheduled inspection of the gearbox once a year in accordance with the possible
criteria listed in General notes about maintenance work (Page512).
Check the geared motor in accordance with the criteria specied in General motor
information (Page447)andGeneral information gearbox (Page479).
Touch up damaged paintwork carefully and professionally.
12.1.13 Disposal
WARNING
Incorrect disposal of used oil
Incorrect disposal of used oil is a threat to the environment and health.
After use, oil must be taken to a used oil collection point. The addition of foreign substances
such as solvents, brake and cooling uid is prohibited.
Avoid prolonged contact with the skin.
Empty the used oil from the gearbox. The used oil must be collected, stored, transported and
disposed of in accordance with regulations. Do not mix polyglycols with mineral oil. Dispose
of polyglycols separately.
Please observe country-specic laws. Under German law, to allow optimal treatment of the
oil (§4VIUsed Oil), oils with dierent disposal codes must not be mixed with one another.
Collect and dispose of used oil in accordance with regulations.
Remove oil spillages immediately with an oil-binding agent in compliance with
environmental requirements.
Dispose of the housing parts, gears, shafts, and rolling bearings of the geared motor as scrap
metal.
Dispose of packaging material in accordance with regulations.
