12.2.10.1 General notes for motor connection (Wall Mounted)
DANGER
Unintentional starting of the drive unit
Any work must be performed with the machine stationary, isolated from the power supply and
locked-out so that it cannot be switched back on again. This also applies to auxiliary circuits,
e.g.PT1000.
Check that the unit is in a no-voltage condition.
Deviations in the voltage, frequency, waveform and/or symmetry of the line supply increase the
temperature rise.
This also negatively impacts the electromagnetic compatibility.
Before starting work, make sure that a protective conductor is securely connected.
Note
Pre-assembled conductors may only be used with xed routed at temperatures below -30°C.
Alternating bends are not allowed at these temperatures.
Connect the motor in such a way that a permanently safe electrical connection is ensured.
Wire ends must not protrude. Use matching cable end pieces.
Connect the line voltage in the terminal box. Arrange the terminal link according to the
circuit diagram for star or delta connection in the terminal box.
If the motor has been ordered with a dispatch circuit, the terminal links are already
connected to the terminal board as star or delta connection.
Select the connection cables according to DINVDE0100. Take into account the rated current
and the plant-specic conditions.
The following required information for connection is specied in the technical data:
• Direction of rotation
• Number and arrangement of the connections
• Circuit/connection of the motor winding.
