12.2.10.5 Connecting the cables in the terminal box
Note
Direct contact between the cable lug surfaces and the contact nuts ensures that the connection
can carry current.
In the case of terminals with terminal clamps, distribute the conductors in such a way
that the clamping heights are about the same on both sides of the llet. This method of
connection requires a single conductor to be bent into a U shape or connected with a cable
lug. The same applies to the inner and outer terminals of the ground conductor.
Select the cable lug size according to the required cable cross-section and stud size. A
sloped/angular arrangement is permitted if the required clearances and creepage distances
are maintained.
Remove the insulation from the conductor ends so that the remaining insulation is almost
long enough to reach the cable lug.
