Standard sized bearing center wall thickness:
Mark "2" 1.979-1.982 mm
(0.0779-0.0780 in.)
Mark "3" 1.982 -1.985 mm
(0.0780-0.0781 in.)
Mark "4" 1.985 -1.988 mm
(0.0781-0.0783 in.)
Mark "5" 1.988-1.991 mm
(0.0783-0.0784 in.)
Mark "6" 1.991 -1.994 mm
(0.0784-0.0785 in.)
(I) Completely remove the Plastigage.
7. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT
(a) Lift out the crankshaft.
(b) Remove the upper main bearings and thrust washers
from the cylinder block.
HINT: Arrange the main bearings and thrust washers in
correct order.
8. REMOVE CHECK VALVES AND OIL NOZZLES
Remove the five (1 PZ) or six (1 HZ and 1HD-T) check
valves and oil nozzles.
9. REMOVE CYLINDER BLOCK OIL HOLE GASKET
10. REMOVE CYLINDER BLOCK ORIFICE
