VALVE AND VALE SPRING

NOTE:

REMOVAL

1. Remove:

 Valve lifters

 Pads

Identify each lifter

1 and pad 2 position very

carefully so that they can be reinstalled in their

original place.

2. Check:

 Valve sealing

Leakage at valve seat  Inspect the valve

face, valve seat and the valve seat width.

Checking steps:

 Pour a clean solvent

into the intake and ex-

haust ports.

 Check the valve seating.

There should be no leakage at the valve seat

3. Remove:

 Valve cotters

Attach the valve spring compressor

2 and at-

tachment

3 between the valve spring retainer

and cylinder head to remove the valve cotters.
