BRAKE HOSE INSPECTION/

BRAKE HOSE INSPECTION
1. Inspect:
 Brake hoses

 Brake pipe
2
Cracks/Wear/Damage  Replace.
The brake pipe must not be disassembled. Do
not loosen the bolts

2. Check:
 Brake hose clamp
Loosen  Tighten.
3. Hold the motorcycle on upright position.
4. Check:
 Brake hoses
Activate the brake lever or pedal several times.
Fluid leakage  Replace the hose.
Refer to “FRONT AND REAR BRAKE” in
CHAPTER 7.
AIR BLEEDING
(HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM)
Bleed the brake system if:
 The system has been disassembled.
 A brake hose has been loosened or removed.
 The brake fluid has been very low.
 The brake operation has been faulty.
A loss of braking performance may occur if the
brake system is not properly bled.
1. Bleed:
 Brake system
Air bleeding steps:
a. Add proper brake fluid to the reservoir.
b. Install the diaphragm. Be careful not to spill any
fluid or allow the reservoir to overflow.
c. Connect a clear plastic hose
1 tightly to the
caliper bleed screw
