CRANKSHAFT

NOTE:
48 Nm (4.8 mkg)
CAUTION:
INSTALLATION
1. Apply:
Molybdenum disulfide grease
(onto threads of bolts and nut seats)
Engine oil
(onto crank pins and inner surfaces of connect-
ing rod bearings)
2. Install:
Connecting rod bearings
1
Connecting rods
2
Connecting rod caps
3
(onto crank pins)
Align the projection of bearing with the groove of
the caps and connecting rod.
Make sure to reinstall each connecting rod bear-
ing in its original place.
The stamped “Y” mark
a
on the connecting rods
should face towards the left of the crankshaft.
Be sure that the letter
b on both components
align to form a perfect character.
3. Align:
Bolt head
(with connecting rod cap)
4. Tighten:
Connecting rod nuts
When you reach 3.5 Nm (3.5 mkg), keep tight-
ening until the final torque is obtained. Apply
continuous torque until the specified torque is
obtained.
