SHIFT PEDAL ADJUSTMENT/
DRIVE CHAIN SLACK ADJUSTMENT

Change pedal position
Adjustment steps:
Remove the drive sprocket cover
1.
Loosen both locknuts
2.
Turn the shift pedal link
3 in or out to obtain the
correct pedal position.
Turnning in: Shift pedal is raised.
Turnning out: Shift pedal is lowered.
Tighten both locknuts.
Install the drive sprocket cover.
DRIVE CHAIN SLACK ADJUSTMENT
Before checking and/or adjusting, rotate the rear
wheel several revolutions and check slack at sev-
eral points to find the tightest point. Check and/or
adjust the chain slack with the rear wheel is in this
“tightest” position.
Too little chain slack will overload the engine
and other vital parts; keep the slack within the
specified limits.
Securely support the motorcycle so there is
no danger of it falling over.
1. Place the motorcycle on a level place, and hold
it in an upright position.
Both wheels should be on the ground without a rid-
er on the motorcycle.
