IDLING SPEED ADJUSTMENT/

THROTTLE CABLE ADJUSTMENT

NOTE:

 Turn the throttle stop screw 2 in or out until

specified idling speed is obtained.

Turnning in: Idling speed is increased.

Turnning out: Idling speed is decreased.

6. Adjust:

 Throttle cable free play

Refer to “THROTTLE CABLE FREE PLAY AD-

JUSTMENT”.

Free play:

3  5 mm

At throttle grip flange

THROTTLE CABLE ADJUSTMENT

Engine idling speed and carburetor synchroniza-

tion should be adjusted properly before adjusting

the throttle cable free play.

1. Check:

 Throttle cable free play

Out of specification  Adjust.

Free play:

3  5 mm

At throttle grip flange

2. Remove:

 Side cowling

 Seat

 Side cover

 Fuel tank

Refer to “COWLINGS, SEAT, TAIL COVER

AND FUEL TANK”.

 Air filter case

Refer to “AIR FILTER CASE”.
