APPENDIX A : INSTALLATION

INITIAL INSPECTION
(1) Checkthattheequipmentsuppliedconformstothesalesorderand
theinksuppliedconformstotheinktypeidentifiedonthemachine
test resultform. Copiesofboth sales order and test results should
accompany the printer on delivery. Identification of the software
installed in the printer must wait until the printer is switched on
(see pg. A--9).
Note: For details of access into the cabinet, see pg. 7--3 and pg. 8--21.
(2) Open the upper door of the cabinet. Connect the antistatic wrist
strap into the connector on the electronics compartment cover.
(3) Open the compartment cover and inspect the electronics
compartment to ensure that all connections are intact and there is
no damage. Check that the red and black HV cables are properly
connected.
(4) Close the electronics compartment cover, disconnect the antistatic
wrist strap and close the top door.
(5) Open thelowercompartmentdoor. Remove thebubble wrapping
from the ink reservoir manifold.
(6) Inspect the components and tubes inside the lower compartment
to ensure that all connections are intact and there is no damage.
(7) Close the lower door.
