To perform a quick search of the Corporate Directory:
» From the Corporate Directory, enter the first few characters of the contact’s first or last name, and
select Submit.
The screen displays a list of contacts, starting with the most successful matches.
To perform an advanced search:
1 In the Corporate Directory, select AdvFind.
2 From the Advanced Find screen, enter your search criteria, and select Submit.
The screen displays a list of contacts, starting with the most successful matches.
To view information for the contact:
» Select View.
To erase all your search criteria and enter a new criteria:
» Select Clear.
To add a contact to your Contact Directory:
1 From the Corporate Directory, search for a contact.
2 From the search results, select the contact, and select View.
3 From the Contact Information screen, select Save.
The first name, last name, and phone number of the contact are saved to the Contact Directory.
You can go to the Contact Directory to see if the contact was saved correctly and to add additional
contact information. See the section Manage the Contact Directory for information on viewing and
editing contacts.
You can save your last search results so that the next time you view the Corporate Directory, the results
of your last search is displayed.
To save Corporate Directory search results:
1 Select Settings > Basic > Preferences > Corporate Directory > View Persistency.
On VVX 1500 phones, select Menu > Settings > Basic > Preferences > Corporate Directory >
View Persistency.
2 From the View Persistency screen, select Enabled.
Each time you view the Corporate Directory, your last search results automatically display.
Search the Lync Directory
The Microsoft Lync Address Book Service (ABS) enables you to search for Lync and Microsoft Outlook
contacts in the Lync global directory, view a contact’s information and presence status, call contacts from
the directory search results, and save contacts to your Contact Directory.
This feature is not available for VVX 1500 phones. Check with your system administrator to find out if this
feature is available on your phone.
