Park and Retrieve Calls
Using the Call Park feature, you can park a call on the server or another contact’s line and retrieve the
call from any phone on your network. The Call Park feature is available on VVX phones registered with a
Lync or BroadWorks server. See the following sections for more information on using Call Park:
● Park and Retrieve Calls on the Lync Server
● Park and Retrieve Calls on the BroadWorks Server
Park and Retrieve Calls on the Lync Server
Using the Lync Call Park feature, you can park up to eight calls while you continue to make calls and
answer other incoming calls on your phone. Call Park is different from call hold in that the call is placed in
a call orbit on the Microsoft
®
Lync
®
Server. Calls placed in the call orbit are given a retrieval number and
can be retrieved by any Lync-compatible phone with access to the orbit.
This feature is not available for VVX 1500 phones with UC software 5.3.0 or later. Check with your system
administrator to find out if this feature is available on your phone.
Park Calls
You can park up to eight active or held calls on your line. If you try to park additional calls, a message
displays stating that the maximum number of calls have been parked on the server.
To park an active call:
» During a call, press the Park soft key.
The call is placed in the call orbit and given an orbit number, as shown next.
After you park a call, you can retrieve the call, provide another contact with the call’s orbit number to
retrieve the call, or place a call on your line.
