6.1 General Rules and Regulations for Wiring
Introduction
The ET 200iSP distributed I/O device is subject to special rules and regulations depending on its
application. This section provides you with an overview of the most important rules when
integrating the ET 200iSP distributed I/O device a plant or system.
Specic application
Keep to the safety and accident prevention regulations applying to specic applications, for
example, the machine protection guidelines. When laying cables and lines, adhere to the
installation regulations in accordance with EN 60079-14 and any regulations specic to your
country. When operating the ET 200iSP in areas with combustible dust (zone 21, zone 22), you
must also comply with EN 61241-14.
EMERGENCY STOP devices in the safe area
EMERGENCY STOP devices according to IEC 204 (equivalent to DIN VDE 0113) must remain
eective in all operating modes of the plant or system.
Startup of the system after certain events
The following table describes points to remember when your plant starts up following certain
events:
