Yamaha F6AMH - Installing the Drive Gear

THERMOSTAT, TIMING BELT AND GEARS
INSTALLING THE DRIVE GEAR
1. Install:
 Woodruff key 1
 Drive gear 2
 Washer 3
 Lock washer 4
NOTE:
 Install the washer as shown in the
diagram on the left so that the curvature
extends in the upward direction. (It is in
the reverse direction from the curvature
of the flange of the drive gear.)
 Pass the tab of the lock washer through
the hole in the drive gear and washer.
2. Install:
 Drive gear nut
NOTE:
Tighten the drive gear nut with a 30 mm
deep socket.
3. Bend:
 Lock washer 5
NOTE:
Bend the lock washer securely.
