STARTING SYSTEM (F8CW)
CHECKING THE BATTERY
Check:
 Battery electrolyte level and specific
gravity.
Refer to “CHECKING THE BATTERY”
on page 3-22.
CHECKING THE MAIN SWITCH
Check:
 Main switch continuity
Refer to “CHECKING THE MAIN
SWITCH” on page 8-15.
CHECKING THE STARTER RELAY
1. Check:
 Starter relay continuity
Out of specification
 Replace.
2. Check:
 Starter relay operation
No continuity
 Replace.
Checking steps:
(1)Connect the digital tester between the
terminal 1 and 2.
(2)Connect the 12V battery between
Brown (Br) lead and Black (B) lead.
(3)Check that there is continuity between
the terminal 1 and 2.
CHECKING THE FUEL ENRICHMENT
SOLENOID
Check:
 Fuel enrichment solenoid resistance
Out of specification
 Replace.
