Impedancerespiration
Respirationmeasurementdescription
Whenstartingrespirationmonitoring,thesystem“learns”thepatient’srespiration
pattern.Therespirationrateiscalculatedfromimpedancechangesandarespiration
waveformisdisplayed.
Eightbreathsareaveragedandtheaverageamplitudeoftherespirationwaveform

Oncelearningiscomplete,theusercanadjustthedetectionsensitivityto10,20,

Respirationtroubleshooting
ProblemSolution
WhatcanIdoiftherespirationmeasurementfails?●Relearnrespiration.
●Checkelectrodequalityandpositioning.
●Adjustthebreathdetectionsensitivity.During
ventilator-supportedbreathing,therespiration

●Otherelectricaldevicesmayinterferewiththe
measurement.
