Preparingtotransportapatient
1.Placethehostmonitorintostandbymode.Refertothehostmonitorusermanual
forinstructions.
2.AddparametersneededfortransporttotheCARESCAPEONE,orremovethose
notneededfortransport.
3.Ensurethattheparametersyouneedtomonitorduringtransportareselected
todisplayontheCARESCAPEONEscreen.Refertothechapter“Settingupthe
monitorbeforeuse”formoreinformationonselectingparameterstothescreen.
4.EnsurethatthereisachargedbatteryinstalledintheCARESCAPEONE.
5.DisconnecttheCARESCAPEONEfromtheCARESCAPEDockF0.
6.PlacetheCARESCAPEONEinthetransportlocation.UseaMiniDockand/or
aParameterDock1orParameterDock5tosecuretheCARESCAPEONEand
CARESCAPEParametersduringtransport.
WARNING
DonotplacetheCARESCAPEONEinapatientbed.
NOTE
Makesurethecablesdonotdragontheoororinterfere
withthemovementoroperationofthetransportbed.
Thecablesmustbeplacedsothattheydonotentangle
infusionpumplinesorbecomeahazardtothepatient.
NOTE
TomaintainvisibilityoftheCARESCAPEONEdisplay,the
bedrailmountshouldbemountedonarailorheadboard
thatprovidessupporttothebackofthemount.The
bedrailmountshouldbeusedonstationarybedrailsor
headboardsonly.
NOTE
Thepolemountisintendedforuseonaverticalpoleonly,
andshouldnotbeusedonahorizontalbedrail.
7.Transportthepatient.
Returningapatientfromtransport
Followthesestepstoreturnthepatienttothesamehostmonitoraftertransport,
retainingthepatientdata.
1.Returnthepatienttotheroom.
2.RemovetheCARESCAPEONEfromtheMiniDock.
3.ConnecttheCARESCAPEONEtotheCARESCAPEDockF0atthehostmonitor.
Patientmonitoringwillautomaticallyresumeonthehostmonitorifthepatient
casematches.PatientdataacquiredontheCARESCAPEONEduringtransport
willbeavailableonthehostmonitor.
IfthepatientcasedoesnotmatchbetweenthehostmonitorandtheCARESCAPE
ONE,thentheSelectPatientandDatawindowwillopenonthehostmonitor.
Therearefourpossibleoptions:
●YoucanselectthepatientintheCARESCAPEONEtocontinuetheCARESCAPE
ONEpatientcase.ThisoptionisshownasCSONE,alongwiththepatientname
andMRNnumber.
