LOOPBACK DETECTION COMMANDS
The Loopback Detection commands in the Command Line Interface (CLI) are listed (along with the
appropriate parameters) in the following table.

Each command is listed in detail, as follows:
enable loopdetect
Purpose To enable the loop back detection on the Switch.
Syntax
enable loopdetect
Description
The enable loopdetect command enables the loop back detection
on the Switch.
Note: If Spanning Tree protocol is used, loopback detection will not
be available. If Loopback Detection is enabled, the Spanning Tree
protocol will not be available.
Parameters None.
Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To enable the loopback detection feature on the Switch:
DGS-1100-24P/ME:admin#enable loopdetect
Command: enable loopdetect
Success.
DGS-1100-24P/ME:admin#
disable loopdetect
Purpose To disable the loop back detection on the Switch.
