delete fdb
Purpose To delete an entry in the Switch’s forwarding database.
Syntax
delete fdb <vlan_name 8> <macaddr>
Description
The delete fdb command deletes an entry in the Switch’s MAC
address forwarding database.
Parameters
<vlan_name 8> − The name of the VLAN on which the MAC
address resides.
<macaddr> − The MAC address to be removed from the forwarding
table.
Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To delete a permanent FDB entry:
DGS-1100-24P/ME:admin#delete fdb VLAN0001 22-ff-ff-ff-ff-
ff
Command : delete fdb VLAN0001 22-ff-ff-ff-ff-ff
Success.
DGS-1100-24P/ME:admin#
show multicast_fdb
Purpose
To display the contents of the Switch’s multicast forwarding
database.
Syntax
show multicast_fdb {vlan <vlan_name 8> | vlanid <vidlist 1-
4094> | mac_address <macaddr>}
Description
The show multicast_fdb command displays the current contents of
the Switch’s multicast MAC address forwarding database.
Parameters
vlan <vlan_name 8> − The name of the VLAN on which the MAC
address resides.
vlanid <vlidlist 1-4094> - The VID of the VLAN on which the MAC
address resides.
mac_address <macaddr> − The MAC address that will be added to
the forwarding table.
Restrictions None.
Example usage:
To display multicast MAC address table:
DGS-1100-24P/ME:admin#show multicast_fdb
Command: show multicast_fdb
VID VLAN NAME Mac Address Egress Port
