1-Port G.SHDSL 8-Wire Mini-Physical Interface Module Overview
Symmetric high-speed digital subscriber line (SHDSL), also known as G.SHDSL, is part
of the xDSL family of modem technologies that provide faster data transmission over a
pair of single flat untwisted or twisted copper wires. ITU-T G.991.2 is the officially
designated standard describing G.SHDSL.
The G.SHDSL interface on the SRX Series Services Gateways supports SHDSL for data
transfer between a single customer premises equipment (CPE) subscriber and a central
office (CO).
The 1-Port G.SHDSL 8-Wire Mini-Physical Interface Module (Mini-PIM) supported on
SRX Series Services Gateways provides the physical connection to DSL network media
types.
Figure 12 on page 57 shows the 1-Port G.SHDSL 8-Wire Mini-PIM.
