Suppressing PIN request
The requirement to enter your PIN when switching on the
phone, a standard feature, can be suppressed:
Call up main menu
Control Use 3
Select and confirm

Pin Control
Select and confirm.
Display shows:
Pin Control On
Select.
Display shows:
Please Enter PIN
Enter PIN and confirm, see page 181.
Restricting use by third parties
Use of the phone, e.g. if lent to another person, can be
restricted with the
Loan Phone
function:

The theft protection feature is activated, i.e. the phone
cannot be used with a different SIM card, see below

The charge counter cannot be deleted
>
The charge rate cannot be modified.

Enter phone code and confirm, see page 184.
Theft protection
With the theft protection feature activated, the phone
cannot be operated with a different SIM card, i.e. the
phone can only be used in conjunction with the SIM card in
the phone at the time of activation.
The setting
Loan Phone
, see above, automatically
switches the theft protection feature on.
