Indicator light displays
>
If the indicator light under the inside
mirror flashes steadily: the system is acti-
vated
>
If the indicator light flashes when the
system is being activated: doors, engine
compartment or luggage compartment are
not properly closed. Even if an item is not
closed fully, the remaining items are dead-
locked and the indicator light begins to
flash steadily after 10 seconds. However,
the interior movement detector is not acti-
vated
>
If the indicator light goes out when the
system is deactivated, no attempt was
made to tamper with the car during your
absence
>
If the indicator light flashes for about
5 minutes or until the remote control is
inserted in the ignition lock when the
system is deactivated, an attempt was
made to tamper with the car.
After the alarm has stopped, the indicator
light once again flashes intermittently.
Avoiding false alarms
The tilt alarm sensor and the interior move-
ment detector can be switched off
together. This prevents false alarms, for
instance in two-level garages or when the
car travels by train or ferry:
Perform the locking (i.e. activating)
process twice; in other words, press
button
2
in the remote control
twice in succession, see page 31,or
perform the locking action with the key
twice, see page 33.
The indicator light comes on briefly, then
continues to flash intermittently. The tilt
alarm sensor and interior movement
detector are then switched off until the
system is deactivated again.
