show running-config

To display module status and configuration, use the show running-config command.

show running-config [module slot]

Usage Guidelines In some cases, you might see a difference in the duplex mode displayed when you enter the show

interfaces command and the show running-config command. If you do see a difference, the duplex

mode displayed in the show interfaces command is the actual duplex mode the interface is running. The

show interfaces command shows the operating mode for an interface, while the show running-config

command shows the configured mode for an interface.

The show running-config command output for an interface may display a duplex mode configuration

but no configuration for the speed. When no speed is displayed in the output, it indicates that the

interface speed is configured to be auto and that the duplex mode shown becomes the operational setting

once the speed is configured to something other than auto. With this configuration, it is possible that the

operating duplex mode for that interface does not match the duplex mode shown with the show

running-config command.

Examples This example shows how to display module and status configuration for all modules:
