Removing the Compass Arc from the Map Page:
1)
With the Map Page displayed, press the MENU Key.
2)
Turn or move the FMS Joystick to highlight ‘Set Up Map’ and press the
ENT Key.
3)
Turn the FMS Joystick to highlight the ‘General’ Menu.
4)
Move the FMS Joystick to highlight the ‘Compass Arc’ field.
5)
Turn the FMS Joystick to access the ‘On/Off’ drop down list.
6)
Turn or move the FMS Joystick to highlight ‘Off’, and press the ENT
Key.
5.2 USING MAP DISPLAYS
Map displays are used extensively in the G300 to provide situational awareness
in flight. Most G300 maps can display the following information:
•
Airports, NAVAIDs, airspaces, airways, land data (highways, cities, lakes, rivers,
borders, etc.) with names
•MapPointerinformation(distanceandbearingtopointer,locationofpointer,
name, and other pertinent information)
•Maprange
•Aircrafticon(representingpresentposition)
•Flightplanlegs
•Userwaypoints
•Trackvector
•Topographydata
The information in this section applies to the following maps unless otherwise
noted:
•AllMapPages(MAP)
•WaypointPage(WPT)
- Single Display System: The Waypoint Page when the RUNWAY Softkey
is pressed.
