4. CHECKING AND ADJUSTING
[1] HYDRAULIC PUMP (FOR POWER STEERING)
(1) Pump Test Using Flow-meter
Preparation
1. Open the bonnet.
2. Remove the side skirt RH.
3. Remove the fuel tank frame support (1), cover (4) and steering
joint shaft (2).
4. Remove the delivery pipe 2 (5).
(When reassembling)
• Install the copper washers firmly.
• Tighten the steering joint shaft support mounting screw after
adjusting the position of steering joint shaft support (3) for
smooth rotation of the steering wheel.

Tightening torque Delivery pipe 2 joint bolt
40 to 49 N·m
4.0 to 5.0 kgf·m
29 to 36 lbf·ft
