Connection of motor temperature sensor to the drive via a relay
PTC alternative A. This table shows the insulation requirement for a customer’s external
relay, and the insulation requirement for the sensor to fulfill decisive voltage class A
(double insulation) of IEC 60800-5-1.
PTC alternative B
. Decisive voltage class B of IEC 60800-5-1 (basic insulation) is provided
with a 6 kV relay. Circuits connected to all motor protection relay inputs and outputs must
be protected against direct contact.
Pt100 alternative A.
This table shows the insulation requirement for a customer’s external

(double insulation) of IEC 60800-5-1.
Pt100 alternative B
. Decisive voltage class B of IEC 60800-5-1 (basic insulation) can be
achieved when there is basic insulation between the sensor and live parts of the motor.
Circuits connected to all motor protection relay inputs and outputs must be protected
against direct contact.
