4.9.4 Control power protection
The115VAC/230VACcontrolpowerinput,U2&V2,fortheTPD32-EVarerequiredtobeshortcircuitprotected.
Thisprotectioncanbeprovidedbyusingstandardtimedelayfuses,orcircuitbreaker.
Thecircuitbreakerand/ortimedelayfusesmustbeselectedtosurvivetheshortcircuitavailablecurrentofthe
feedersourceforthiscircuit,andtheinrushcurrentofthedrivepowersupply.
Theratingofthefusesorcircuitbreakershouldbesizedmainlytoprotectthewiringfromthefuses/circuit
breakerconnectionstoU2&V2,andnotnuisancetriporblowfromtheinrushcurrent.
