The fields that can be configured are described below:
Parameter Description
View Name
Select an alphanumeric string of up to 32 characters that is used to identify the
group of MIB objects that a remote SNMP manager is allowed to access on the
Switch. The view name must exist in the SNMP View Table.
Access Right Read Only – Specify that SNMP community members using the community string
created can only read the contents of the MIBs on the Switch.
Read Write – Specify that SNMP community members using the community string
created can read from, and write to the contents of the MIBs on the Switch.
Enter a case-sensitive
community
Type an alphanumeric string of up to 32 characters that is used to identify members
of an SNMP community. This string is used like a password to give remote SNMP
managers access to MIB objects in the Switch’s SNMP agent.
Re-type the community.
Click the Apply button to accept the changes made.
Telnet Settings
Users can configure TELNET Settings on the Switch.
To view the following window, click Management > Telnet Settings, as shown below:

Telnet State
TELNET configuration is Enabled by default. If you do not want to allow configuration of the
system through TELNET choose Disabled.
Port (1-65535)
The TCP port number used for TELNET management of the Switch. The “well-known” TCP
port for the TELNET protocol is 23.
Click the Apply button to accept the changes made.
Web Settings
Users can configure the Web settings on the Switch.
To view the following window, click Management > Web Settings, as shown below:
