4.4 Connecting Cabinet Electronic Clasp Lock Cables
Prerequisites
The cabinet electronic clasp locks have been installed.
● Only the electronic clasp locks of IT cabinets and smart cooling products need
to be connected to the ECC. This section describes cable connections for these
locks. PDFs and battery cabinets are not involved.
● A maximum of 24 cabinet electronic clasp locks can be connected in series.
● Only the front door of a smart cooling product has an electronic clasp lock.
● Linkage control in the high-density island scenario involves only IT cabinet door
opening.
Procedure
Step 1 Install the cables of the cabinet electronic clasp locks based on the lock layout.
1. Cascade the cabinet electronic clasp locks of odd- and even-numbered
cabinets hand-in-hand respectively.
2. Connect one end of the network cable to the RS485_IN port on the electronic
clasp lock of the
rst cabinet among odd-numbered cabinets, and connect the
other end of the network cable to the COM2 port on the ECC800-Pro.
3. Connect one end of another network cable to the RS485_IN port on the
electronic clasp lock of the rst cabinet among even-numbered cabinets, and
connect the other end of the network cable to the COM3 port on the ECC800-
Pro.
