12.8 Adjusting the color registration
Adjusting the color registration for yellow, magenta and cyan
Adjust the color registration if color shifts can be seen in the print result.
Color shifts can be adjusted with normal paper, thick paper 1 or thick paper
2. The procedure for adjusting the color registration is the same for yellow,
magenta and cyan.
The following procedure uses 11 × 17-size paper to adjust the color registra-
tion for cyan.
0 The test pattern can be printed on A3 w, 11 × 17 w, A4 v or 8-1/2 × 11
v paper that can only be loaded into the tray 1.
1 Display the Administrator Setting screen.
– For details on displaying the Administrator Setting screen, refer to
“Displaying the Administrator Setting screen” on page 12-47.
2 Touch [1 System Setting].
The System Setting screen appears.
3 Touch [7 Expert Adjustment].
The Expert Adjustment screen appears.
4 Touch [7 Color Registration Adjust].
The Color Registration Adjust screen appears.
5 Touch [3 Color Registration Adjust (Cyan)].
The Color Registration Adjust (Cyan) screen appears.
6 Press the [Start] key.
A test pattern is printed.
