SECTION 35 - HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

GEAR PUMP START-UP PROCEDURE
This procedure must be performed if the gear pump
has been removed for repair purposes or any gear
pump hydraulic lines have been removed.
1. Fill the reservoir with SAE SH/CG4 10W-30 oil to
the proper level.
2. Loosen suction line, 1, at the gear pump. When
oil flows from the connection, tighten the connec-
tion.
3. Start the engine and run it at 1500 RPM. Operate
all hydraulic controls to remove remaining air
from the system.
4. Check reservoir level and add oil as necessary.
