from the bearing cover. Discard the crush ring.

sliding the short end out first.

PARTS INSPECTION
Pump Housings
1. Inspect the front pump housing for any obvious
damage. Inspect the shaft needle bearing, 1, for
a loose fit, and for missing or loose needles.
2. The shaft needle bearing is a tight fit in the
housing. If the pump shaft needle bearing needs
to be replaced, use a puller to pull the bearing
toward the inside of the pump body.
3. Make sure the needle bearing is installed with the
numbered end to the inside of the pump body.
4. All oil seals and O rings should be replaced
during reassembly.
