6.5.6 DEAD MACHINE SERVICE CHECK
ï‚§ Check the AC line voltage. The voltage should be within the following limits:
ï‚§ 100 V ac (volts alternating current)-127 Vac for the 110V machine
ï‚§ 200 V ac-240 Vac for the 220V machine
FRU Action
LVPS/HVPS
Unplug the machine. Remove the LVPS/HVPS, and check
the fuses for continuity.
ï‚§ If open, then replace the LVPS/HVPS.
ï‚§ If not open, then check the switch continuity across its
conductors with the switch on. Turn the switch off. Plug
the AC line into the LVPS/HVPS and switch unit on.
Voltages are exposed at several places on the board. Do
these verifications, and then unplug the AC cord from the
power supply:
CN201-6, 17, 19 (Pins): +24Vdc
CN201-10, 12, 14, 16, 18: Ground
CN201-1,3, 5, 11,13, 15 (Pins): +5Vdc
ï‚§ If voltages are not correct, then replace the
LVPS/HVPS.
ï‚§ If voltages are correct, then check the engine board
(
p.6-52 "Engine Board Service Check").
If the engine board checks out ok, perform the controller
board service check.
